Chevy Cobalt Fuel Filter Swap & Relay

Chevy Cobalt Fuel Filter Relay in the engine compartment fuse box.

3/8 fuel line disconnect tool

1.) On the rear of the car under the trunk is the fuel tank.  Scoot under there with the car jacked up and on jack stands.  Scoot until you are under the rear seat basically and look up directly in the middle of the car is a fuel filter (silver tube) with tube going in one side and out the other.

It is not an easy turn of a bolt and disconnect.  You really got to work to get the tubes off and road debris and stuff will be falling into your eyes.

2.)  To disconnect the fitting you need a fuel filter disconnect tool.  It is 3/8 inch and comes in several varieties.  Can also be used to quick disconnect fuel lines and AC lines or is it brake lines? (CAUTION don't disconnect AC lines they are under pressure and need to be drained first!)
