Versions of Cobalts:

This is the, GM Chevrolet Cobalt Models List.
1.) 4 door sedan Chevrolet Cobalts. (year-to-year)
2.) 2 door coupe Cobalts.  (year-to-year)
3.) There is the 2005 Super Sport Cobalt that have a Super Charger.
4.) There is the 2006-on Cobalt SS models that have a Turbo Charger.

There is the, GM Pontiac G5 and Pursuit Models.
1.) 4 door sedan Pontiac G5
2.) 2 door coupe Pursuit
3.) SS models.

There are some inter-changeable parts and some not from cobalt year to cobalt year.  For example the "FE5" springs and struts for a Cobalt SS won't fit a non-ss model and such bumpers and things like that are picky depending on the year.  So don't buy anything unless you know for sure it fits.  Spent a lot of time down a rabbit hole looking for parts to discover nothing fits a 2005 non ss model.  You can technically I think slap a supercharger on any non ss cobalt from what I found.  No idea how the Pontiac and GM vehicle inter-change parts.  The Chevy HHR also shares some parts with the Cobalt they have the same engine and some type of springs.  Anyway, RockAuto dot com is a good source of parts.

..Visually, the Pontiac versions have a different front grill on both the coupe and sedan and the coupe also has a different tail light than the cobalts which are dual small circular tail lights, the Pontiac has a larger single light similar to the sedans tail light shape.

The SS model Cobalts are actually pretty fast and from a video I saw on YouTube with the guy talking about it beating most other cars and sedans in similar class and years like the nissans, Mitsubishis, Hondas, etc..  He had a complete list of many cars the cobalt beat, could beat in 0-60 and such metrics.

Chevy Cobalt Sedan

Chevy Cobalt Sedan is also a SS Model
adding side running boards, a different front bumper, and a longer downwards rear bumper design.
Chevy Cobalt Coupe is also a SS Model

All of these cars are front-wheel drive and have a 4 cylinder engine (EcoTec) that is transversely mounted (meaning sideways).
